Em um Rio de Janeiro parcialmente submerso pelo colapso ambiental, as elites vivem isoladas em torres flutuantes enquanto comunidades inteiras sobrevivem entre águas contaminadas, ruínas e sistemas de vigilância.
Ana é uma jovem mergulhadora que vive nas zonas alagadas e sobrevive explorando as estruturas abandonadas sob a água. Durante uma de suas incursões, ela encontra documentos que revelam uma ameaça contra aqueles que ainda resistem. Ao tentar compreender o que descobriu, Ana é empurrada para uma jornada que também começa a revelar sinais de uma transformação em seu próprio corpo.
Submersivos é um curta-metragem híbrido que combina atores filmados em estúdio com cenários, sequências e efeitos visuais desenvolvidos por meio de inteligência artificial generativa.
A proposta mantém a interpretação humana no centro da narrativa. A IA é utilizada para ampliar o universo do filme, construir o Rio de Janeiro submerso e criar imagens que exigiriam uma estrutura de produção muito maior pelos métodos tradicionais. O processo reúne filmagem, direção de atores, desenvolvimento visual, criação de ambientes, animação, efeitos, montagem e finalização.
O trailer estendido apresentado abaixo foi desenvolvido como prova de conceito do universo visual e do fluxo de produção criado para o projeto. Ele demonstra como imagens reais e generativas podem ser integradas dentro de uma mesma linguagem cinematográfica.

In a Rio de Janeiro partially submerged due to environmental collapse, the elite live in isolation within floating towers, while entire communities survive amidst contaminated waters, ruins, and surveillance systems.
Ana is a young diver living in the flooded zones, surviving by exploring abandoned underwater structures. During one of her dives, she discovers documents revealing a threat against those who are still resisting. As she tries to make sense of her discovery, Ana is thrust into a journey that also begins to reveal signs of a transformation within her own body.
*Submersivos* is a hybrid short film that combines studio-filmed actors with environments, sequences, and visual effects created using generative artificial intelligence.
The project keeps human performance at the heart of the narrative. AI is used to expand the film's universe, build the submerged Rio de Janeiro, and create imagery that would require a much larger production scale using traditional methods. The process integrates filming, performance direction, visual development, environment creation, animation, effects, editing, and post-production.
The extended trailer below was developed as a proof of concept for the visual universe and production workflow created for the project. It demonstrates how real-world and generative imagery can be integrated into a cohesive cinematic language.
