PESQUISA VISUAL E FOTOGRAFIA GENERATIVA
Projeto fotográfico desenvolvido especialmente para o painel de debates e a exposição IArte, realizados no Memorial do Ministério Público, em Porto Alegre, em 17 de outubro de 2024. Inspirado na atmosfera visual do filme Infinity Pool, o projeto investiga a relação entre uma fotografia produzida de forma tradicional e novas imagens criadas com inteligência artificial.
O processo começou com uma fotografia original, construída a partir de decisões de enquadramento, iluminação, composição, lente e textura. Essa imagem foi utilizada como referência para a criação de outras duas fotografias generativas, buscando transportar para elas os mesmos elementos visuais e até características relacionadas ao filme e ao grão fotográfico.
As três imagens foram apresentadas juntas, colocando lado a lado a fotografia original e suas derivações criadas com IA. A proposta não era substituir a imagem produzida pelo fotógrafo, mas observar como escolhas autorais e técnicas podem ser traduzidas, reinterpretadas e ampliadas por meio de ferramentas generativas.
Esse processo pode ser aplicado ao desenvolvimento de conceitos visuais, campanhas, séries fotográficas, estudos de linguagem e pré-produções audiovisuais. A partir de uma imagem original, é possível testar variações, expandir uma atmosfera e construir um conjunto visual mantendo uma direção estética consistente.

INFINITY POOL PROJECT
VISUAL RESEARCH AND GENERATIVE PHOTOGRAPHY
A photography project developed specifically for the panel discussion and the IArte exhibition, held at the Public Ministry Memorial in Porto Alegre on October 17, 2024. Inspired by the visual atmosphere of the film *Infinity Pool*, the project explores the relationship between traditionally produced photography and new images created using artificial intelligence.
The process began with an original photograph, crafted through decisions regarding framing, lighting, composition, lens choice, and texture. This image served as a reference for creating two additional generative photographs, aiming to carry over the same visual elements—and even characteristics related to the film’s style and photographic grain—into the new images.
The three images were presented together, placing the original photograph side-by-side with its AI-generated derivatives. The goal was not to replace the photographer's original image, but to observe how artistic and technical choices can be translated, reinterpreted, and expanded through generative tools.
This process can be applied to the development of visual concepts, campaigns, photographic series, stylistic studies, and audiovisual pre-production. Starting from a single original image, it is possible to test variations, expand upon an atmosphere, and build a cohesive visual set while maintaining a consistent aesthetic direction.
DELIVERABLE
A series comprising one original photograph and two generative images, accompanied by a presentation of the creative process during the panel discussion and exhibition.
